Gardener's Tip: Clean soil off the handle and tool head after use. Smooth fine sandpaper over the handle and wipe with a thin layer of linseed oil to keep tools in top condition.
Digging Tips: Clay soils are best dug in Autumn, but avoid it when the soils are wet or claggy. Light sandy soils are best dug in Spring if the soil isn't frozen or waterlogged. Try and complete digging before Spring to prevent moisture loss.
