The Decorative Bark we supply maintains soil temperature and protects plant roots from winter frost and summer sun, whilst suppressing weed growth and these are advantages compared to slate or stones. Our bark is produced from mixed conifer with a high percentage of spruce, with 90% of particles falling within the range of 8-35mm.
This product is manufactured from materials sourced 100% within the British Isles, thus completely free of any trace of methyl bromide contamination. It is free of all foreign matter such as metal, glass, plastic and any other extraneous materials.
Our decorative bark chips are ideal for decorative low maintenance gardening to borders, paths, beds and general mulching use. They are durable, long-lasting and improve the health and appearance of your garden all year round.

- The white wood content is no greater than 15% in volume
- Moisture content is in the region of 50-60% (green weight basis) on delivery

- Mid brown in colour with a mild odour
Application rates for Decorative Bark
We recommend that all our mulches are laid at a depth of between 50 - 100mm to obtain the best results. Allowing 10% for settlement.
Our Ornamental Bark should be handled using good working and hygienic practices. Store in a cool dry place, preferably covered and protected away from chemicals and pesticides.
Please Note: Due to the nature of this product and the screening process, oversized pieces of wood may occur. However, these can easily be removed at the time of installation.

Our products are delivered in convenient bulk bags being able to fit 750 litres or 1 cubic metre depending on the product.
We also offer a variety of products as well as Decorative Bark such as Compost Mulch, Turf Dressing and Soil Conditioners. We deliver all our products nationally and all of the prices for our products are inclusive of VAT.
